Located in North Tonawanda.  The fry is skinless haddock and is available broiled, beer battered, breaded, or cajun and is served with coleslaw, macaroni salad, and your choice of potato including mashed, baked, french fries, or German potato salad for $13.50.  They also offer a battered lake perch, yellow pike, blackened catfish as well as a few other Friday night seafood specials.  The fry is served on Fridays only and reservations are accepted for parties of 8 or more.

Hideaway Grille is a recently renovated restaurant with standard chicken, beef, sandwiches, and pasta on their menu.  The restaurant is family friendly, especially earlier in the evening, and they have a kids menu as well.  The bar is located separately from the dining room, but there are pub tables in the bar room as well.  Service was attentive without being smothering, and the food came hot and quickly.

Fish: The batter was nicely seasoned and came crispy, though after cutting into the fish it seemed as if the fish had absorbed some of the oil.   Unfortunately the sides are crammed onto the plate along with the fish, rather than being in separate bowls.  The fish itself was flavorful and fresh and flaked nicely.  But again, was slightly greasy and caused the batter to separate from the fish.  The piece of fish could of been a bit bigger as well.

Tartar: Very good.  Mayo with a nice dill flavor, complemented the fish nicely.

Slaw: Excellent.  Slaw was crunchy and fresh with a tangy and creamy dressing.  An excellent all around coleslaw.  I do wish it would of come in a ramekin as it had a tendency to run into the fish.

Sides: The macaroni salad was also very good.  It had fine shreds of tuna along with small chunks of celery.  The mac salad was seasoned very well and had a strong pepper flavor.  The fries are battered, crispy, and well seasoned.  The German potato salad was homemade and had small bits of onion and bacon in it.  The flavor was spot on, however I felt the potatoes were left in too big of chunks, I would of liked to seen them diced just a bit smaller.

Clam Chowder:  The chowder came hot and was loaded with clams.  Like everything else that came after it, the chowder was seasoned properly.  The only negative was that the soup was just a bit gummy.  Other than that, it was a strong NE clam chowder.
