Located in North Tonawanda on Sweeney St across the street from the Erie Canal.  The fry is yellow pike and is available beer battered or cornmeal crusted.  It is served with hand cut french fries, coleslaw, and macaroni salad for $18.00.  The fry is served Fridays only, from 4:30 to 11pm, and reservations are accepted.

Remington Tavern is an upscale restaurant inside of an old trolley barn.  The decor is modern industrial with a large rectangular bar the focus point of the dining room.  There is also a covered patio during the summer allowing for a view of the Erie Canal.  The menu is excellent with plenty of options, including an excellent raw bar, and their cocktail list can't be beat.  Their pike fingers are often on special at the bar for $5 and are well worth the money.  Remington is okay for well-behaved kids if you're there early enough, but past 6pm I'd probably head across the street to Dockside with the family.  Service is always on point.

Fish: Seasoned nicely, and cooked perfectly with a crunchy exterior.  The "batter" seems more like a breading though than a beer batter.  Fish is too thin at times and can shred rather than flake.

Tartar: Decent, but could be better.  Just an ordinary tartar.  I'd recommend ordering the Cajun Remoulade sauce that comes with the pike fingers appetizer instead.

Slaw: A lighter Charleston style slaw seasoned with citrus.  Not bad, just not the traditional creamy style coleslaw that usually accompanies a fry.

Sides: The french fries are fresh, hand cut, crispy, salty, and absolutely delicious.  Dipping them in a side of their malt vinegar aioli is a must, as I would eat it with a spoon if socially acceptable.  However, the macaroni salad was disappointing, as it lacked flavor.  I can appreciate a lighter version of mac salad that's not weighed down with mayo, but it needs to be well seasoned.  This was neither.  It did have nice chunks of fresh carrot in it though.
